The legendary writer of iconic superheroes such as The Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Black Widow, Daredevil and the X-Men has passed away today at 95. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Stan Lee died early this morning, Monday, November 11th, 2018 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Lee began his iconic career in 1939 only to find it expand into an empire across various mediums. In 2009, Marvel Entertainment was purchased by the Walt Disney Company for $4 billion. On August 8th, 2018, it was reported that Stan Lee would officially retire from public signings and conventions.  Lee’s final appearance is expected to be the upcoming sequel to Avengers: Infinity War.
